Finishing your basement is a great way to increase the value of your home, increase the size of your living space, and design that space to fit your exact needs. With the lingering economy, more and more people are choosing to invest in their existing homes rather than move into new homes, and basements are a great way to do this.
THE PROCESS
- What is the primary reason you want to finish your basement?
- How will the basement be used and by whom?
- What’s on your wish list? More storage? A wet bar? Pool table? Sauna? Theatre room? Fireplace? Additional bedrooms?
- Do you have a deadline?
- Do you have a budget?
Contact us to schedule your free consultation. We will spend time on the phone discussing the major points of your project. Next, we will visit your home to explore different ideas and design options. The last step is to provide you with an estimate.
After agreeing upon the scope of work that meets your budget, our certified designer and project manager will visit your home to address the many details, including the final layout, project timeline, and material options. Work can usually begin within a week of this time. Once the materials have been selected, a final price can be determined.
A building permit is always required when remodeling a basement, and acquiring the permit is the responsibility of the contractor, not you. If a contractor tells you differently, it’s a red flag and a reason to search for another contractor to do the work.
We make every effort to protect your home through the duration of the job. This includes workers entering and exiting the house through basement windows and doors, bringing materials in through basement windows and doors, placing a portable toilet outside the home, quickly removing job debris from your home, organizing tools and materials at the end of each work day, and sweeping and vacuuming the jobsite at the end of each work day.
