| WHERE: | These two seminars will be held at Timbers Diversified Wood Products, 2710 Robinson St, 80904. Timbers Diversified is a locally owned material supplier, including deck supplies and specialty wood products. They are having an open house on Friday, April 27th and Saturday, April 28th. Decking manufacturers will be on hand, as well as builders and suppliers. If you’re considering a deck, this is a great opportunity for you to meet industry professionals, learn about the various products, and more. |
Our Deck Seminars are designed to educate homeowners on the deck building process using a PowerPoint presentation. It’s a relaxed atmosphere, a lot of helpful information is provided. This isn’t a hard sales pitch, obviously we’d like to build your trust and hopefully be a part of your project.
The Deck Seminar topics include
1. Deck Design Concepts: How much space do you need for a table and chairs? Where should your grill be located? Where should your steps be located? What are the natural traffic patterns? How can you enhance and protect your views? Benches, good or bad?
2. Material options: What are the three different types of low-maintenance decking products? What are their similarities and differences? What are different railing options?

4. Budgets: Why do you need a budget? What can you do to “trim the fat” on your project?
5. Basic Building Codes: What are the primary building codes you should know?
6. Comparing Estimates: What you need to know so you can “compare apples to apples”.
