Meet Our Team
Tom Stewart – Owner/Operator
Although I’m not a native (Air Force brat), I am third generation to call Colorado home. I basically grew up in Southern Illinois, completed high school in Centennial, then attended UCCS for business/played basketball.
After eight years of employment with UPS and a brief stint as a writer (football), I began working with my father-in-law in construction – he was a semi-retired builder. I’ve been working in this industry ever since.
I have to say I love what I do and respect and enjoy the people I work with. We work in a great industry with so many other hard-working, honest people. It’s too bad our industry has a negative reputation, something we hope to help change.
I am single father (widower). Although my son and I have been through more trials than anyone I personally know, I wouldn’t trade any of it. Many clients have met my son and were/are a part of our journey. You get to see the best in people when in need, that is one of the many life lessons/blessings we experienced.
My hobbies include cycling, sports, cooking, reading, and ministry. I have been involved with Awana for the past 8-years and have coached or helped coach youth sports.
Shannon Palmer – Project Manager, Home Remodeling
I am a Colorado native, living all my life in Black Forest. My Dad had a construction company, building custom homes. Right out of High School, I started working for him full time. I have over 40 years of experience in all phases of residential construction, especially framing and trim – anything to do with wood, and have done a little bit of almost everything else.
I enjoy any time spent working with my hands. I thoroughly enjoy the outdoors, enjoying God’s amazing creation. I can find lots of reasons to be in the outdoors – hunting, camping, hiking and fishing are some of my favorite reasons. There just doesn’t seem to be enough days to enjoy being in the mountains! My family also enjoy the outdoors, so we get to do many of these activities together.
I spent a little over 20 years coaching wrestling at the High School level. That has been one of the most rewarding things God has allowed me to do. The young men and their families that I have had the privilege to work with have been a huge blessing to my life.
I met my wife at a Bible camp, and we have been married since 1977. God has blessed us with two daughters.
Tera Kane – Designer
I have had a passion for art and design my entire life. With the encouragement of teachers and family, I decided to major in Interior Design at the University of Wisconsin where I earned my Bachelor’s degree. My husband and I then moved to Texas where I continued to develop my design skills while earning my Master’s degree in Architecture.
My first design position was with an Interior Designer in Wisconsin designing the children’s ward at a local hospital.
Since then, I have gained experience with architects, designers, and landscape architects in Texas and Colorado. I contributed to a variety of projects including schools, churches, and government buildings while refining my talents.
I finally began putting those skills to use on some luxury custom homes in the Colorado Springs area.
I took a break from my career for a few years to raise my children and work in Children’s Ministry at a local church while volunteering in their MOPS program. I feel this experience helped me grow as a person in my relationships with others and in my faith. I keep busy spending time with my family, as well as coaching competitive soccer with a local club and playing in a women’s league whenever I can! I still volunteer at my church and Habitat for Humanity when time permits. I also teach drawing classes with an after school program as a way to help develop and encourage the younger generation in the arts.
Drew Kennedy – Project Manager, Deck and Outdoor Living
I was raised in South Mississippi with my 5 siblings. I worked with my father who was a homebuilder for a few years while I was in college. After graduating from the University of Southern Mississippi with a B.A. in Marketing I decided to move out west as soon as I could.
I moved to Colorado Springs in 2004 and began working as a summer youth counselor for Summit Ministries for a couple of years. I continued working at Summit Ministries in helping to maintain and remodel several of Summit’s historical facilities. I continued working in the construction industry gaining valuable experience in areas such as underground utilities, foundations, custom home building, custom decks, sunrooms, outdoor kitchens with living areas and fire pits, landscapes, and construction project management.
I have over 12 years combined experience of the construction trades, design, sales and project management. I also met my wonderful wife here in Colorado when she also moved here from South Mississippi. I enjoy spending time developing my relationship with the Lord. I also enjoy exploring the outdoors with my wife and savoring moments with our son.
I grew up in the outdoors in the Sierra Nevada’s at a Young Life camp. There I learned the benefits of working together as a team and pitching in when things need done. It created in me a pioneering spirit, an inclination to work with my hands, and the desire to serve people. I have been in the construction field for over 13 years and I enjoy helping people achieve their goals for their living spaces.
I’ve lived in Colorado for 23 years and I am married with two beautiful children. I enjoy serving in my church, hanging out with my friends and family and being outside enjoying God’s creation.
Kristin Censullo – Designer
I am a Louisiana native who grew up in Texas, where I lived for a majority of my life. I moved to Northwest Arkansas a short time after graduating from high school to pursue my degree in Interior Design at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. After graduation I worked for a well-known home furniture and décor store as a design specialist in both Arkansas and Florida, assisting clients in space planning, furniture and fabric selection, and decorating. The experience that I gained from that job has helped me to truly understand and interpret clients design styles and ideas turning their homes into functional and beautiful spaces. I believe your home should reflect who you are and I love helping clients make that happen!
After living in Florida for 3 years, my husband and I visited Colorado for a camping trip, we fell in love with the state, immediately went back to Florida packed up the house and moved west! We have really enjoyed discovering all this state has to offer and in our spare time we enjoy traveling, taking weekend road trips and finding great places to eat along the way.
